At this stage, this app serves more as a test to gauge the number of downloads it receives from people who may not necessarily require it, and then proceed to give it a one-star rating (even though it's a free app!) due to a lack of understanding of its purpose. Therefore, I would like to issue a disclaimer:

This is not a GPS app - please refrain from using it as one - have you not heard of Google Maps? Seriously, people!!!

This app primarily monitors the GSM/CDMA cellular network connection. Where possible, it provides an approximate map of nearby cellular antenna locations and their RF signal strength. Additionally, it can log the data to a text or KML file.

This application is no longer maintained or supported. It does not work on Verizon. 3G & CDMA support is limited by Android, not by the application. CDMA requires Eclair.

For optimal performance, we recommend using this app with 2G GSM networks. Please note that 3G/CDMA support is extremely limited.

Before rating this app, it is crucial to understand its functionalities and limitations. If you are uninterested in the intricacies of how cellular networks operate, kindly refrain from downloading this app as it may prove frustrating and time-consuming for you. I have received reports indicating that Verizon now blocks locations. Other providers may do the same. Unfortunately, this aspect is beyond my control; therefore, if your provider blocks locations, I kindly request that you refrain from negatively rating the app.

It is worth mentioning that this app has a high battery consumption rate - this is intentional due to its requirements.

I developed this app in 2009 when Android was still in its infancy. Numerous developments have taken place since then. Consequently, this application is no longer maintained or supported, and it may not be compatible with the latest versions of Android and 3G/4G networks. I suggest looking into OpenCellID as an alternative.
